Memorial
Anna Marie Antons, 54, of Marion passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM with a short service to follow. In memory of Anna and her love for the Hawkeyes, everyone is invited to wear Iowa Hawkeye attire. Interment will be private.
She was born on November 25, 1970, in Manchester, Iowa to Harold and Norma (Struck) Antons.
Anna served as a rehabilitation counselor for 27 years at Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services (IVRS) in Cedar Falls and then in Cedar Rapids.
Anna joined a diabetes support group to help other young kids with diabetes when she was 16 years old. As a group, they took a trip to Washington D.C.
She loved the Iowa Hawkeyes and would attend as many football and basketball games as she possibly could every year with her nieces and friends who shared her passion. She was an avid New Kids on the Block fan. She went to several New Kids concerts with her fellow New Kids friends even when they became the “Old Kids on the Block.” Anna was also a devoted fan of both television series' “Criminal Minds” and “911” and shared her passion online in the fan groups. Anna loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was an affectionate cat mom to Mittens, and most recently, Mia. Her other cat, Kallie, lives with her parents, ensuring she receives all the love and care she needs. Anna will be dearly missed by all.
She is survived by her parents, Harold & Norma Antons; siblings, Tim (Karen) Antons, Deb (Matt) Hambright and Dale (Shelly) Antons; and several nieces and nephews.
Go Hawks!
