My mother-in-law, Doris McClain, introduced me to Mrs. Anders in the 1970's. Dodie (Doris) was a home economics teacher at Jefferson High School here in Cedar Rapids and had Mrs. Anders do sewing for her and for me for many years. She was a humble, talented and gracious woman. She made my wedding dress and one of the bridesmaids dresses. How lucky you are to call her mother, grandmother or friend.

Mrs. Anders was my seamstress for many years. She was recommended to me by my friend and coworker, Gwendolyn Hood. She made the most beautiful matron of honor dress for my daughter and flower girl dress for my granddaughter for my youngest daughter’s wedding.
Mrs. Anders was such kind and sweet person. It broke my heart when she quit being a seamstress. Heaven has received a true angel.
