Memorial
Donna J. Barnes, 74, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024, at her home surrounded by family. Services will be held Friday, June 28, 2024, 1:30 pm, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be Thursday, June 27, 2024, 5:00-7:00 pm at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories Stateroom. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include: five daughters; Dawn Neal, Patricia (Rich) Cook, Shanon Barnes, Kimbra (Jeff) Cook and Beth Ann Snyder. Grandchildren; Travis, Seth, Caleb, McKayla, Jacob, Jenna, Blake, Britney, Brett, Breonna, Alexander, Bianca, Gabrielle, Aaron, and Myra along with several great grandchildren. Brothers, Kenny and Eddie.
Preceded in death by, her husband, Howard, her parents, sisters Judy and Ruthie, and a brother, Richard.
Donna was born May 24, 1950, in Cedar Rapids to parents, Donald and Ruth Burnell. She retired in 2011 from Silver Pines Care Center as a kitchen manager. Donna enjoyed shopping, quilting and baking cakes, along with spending time with friends and family. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
