Memorial
Nadine Lucille Achenbach, 91, of Monticello, passed away Friday, August 30, 2024, at Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Monticello, Iowa. Services will be held Friday, September 6, 2024, 11:00am, at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 10:00 am, one hour prior, at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include; son, L. James (Sandi) of Monticello, grandchildren, Jason (Lori) Achenbach, of Cedar Rapids, Ryan (Tina) Achenbach, of Monticello, Amy (Kasey) Kadolph, of Robins, Devin (Nick) Larrimore, of Cedar Rapids and Lucas (Courtney) Cheatwood, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, along with fifteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, Leland, son, Rick Achenbach, daughter, Brenda Tritle, her parents, and in-laws, Charles and Rose Skriver.
Nadine (Duffield) Achenbach was born May 7, 1933, in Iowa City to parents, Harold and Wilma (Creighton) Duffield. She attended Wilson High School, and graduated in 1950. She married Leland Achenbach on February 10, 1951, in Cedar Rapids. She helped Leland on the farm. In 1964, she began working at Rockwell-Collins until retirement in 1990. She loved her family and would do anything for them. Her hobbies included baking, playing cards, camping and traveling.
The family would like to thank the Monticello Nursing Home and Rehab for their care of Nadine, and a special thank you to the Hospice.
