Jessica Lena Youngton 19 of Cedar Rapids died Friday, May 12, 2023 from injuries sustained in a car crash.
Jessica was born on August 28, 2003. After meeting and connecting with Ted and Roxanne Youngton through Big Brothers/Big Sisters in 2011, Jessica came to live with them and was adopted in 2014. Jessica attended Cedar Valley Christian School and graduated from Kennedy High School. She loved dance and being part of the competition dance team. She served a short military service in the US Army. She liked to travel, was very artistic and loved children and animals. We will miss her beautiful smile and kind heart.
Jessica is survived by her parents, Ted and Roxanne Youngton. Her siblings Gary (Teresa) Philipp, Kenneth (Kim) Philipp, Kimberly (Robert) Minyard, Christopher (Debbie) Philipp, Lisa (Bill) Whitters, Shannon Philipp, Daniel Philipp, Jen(Jon) Shebetka, Tory (Adam) Devine, Joe Youngton and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a private family memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Cedar Valley Humane Society in memory of Jessica.
