Memorial
Dr. James K. Sheronick, 71, formerly of Van Horne and Iowa City, passed away Friday January 21, 2022, surrounded by family. A private family graveside service will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
James was born September 20, 1950 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Sine and Mariam (Chehedi) Sheronick. James was a dentist in Benton County, serving his community for almost 40 years. He was a dedicated and caring dentist to his patients and truly enjoyed being an active member in his community. He loved the Iowa Hawkeyes, and he was the president of the Benton County I-Club until his retirement from dentistry in 2017. When he wasn’t watching the Hawks or attending games, he enjoyed traveling and antique collecting with his wife Laureen by his side.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children; Nicholas Sheronick, of Cedar Rapids, IA, Kate Sheronick of Iowa City, IA; his siblings; Nadema Sheronick of Mission Viejo, CA, David Sheronick of Detroit, MI, Yousif Sheronick and wife Kathryn Lockwood, of Tuckahoe, NY; and nieces, Laura Share, Anisi Sheronick and Surriah Sheronick.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Laureen A. Sheronick
