I'm so sorry for the loss of my Uncle. I didn't even know that he was sick. Last time we talked was when grandpa Milton passed. Aunt Patty please call me when you get this. 319-320-5792.

Larry and I were so sorry to hear about Dick. It is so hard to put into words all the memories we have of living next door to Dick & Patty, Jenny, Jamie, and Sarah for over 30 years. You would often find Dick sitting on their front porch and he would invite us over. We had long discussions about our kids, grand kids, and life in general. Dick had a great attitude about things even when his health started to fail. He was a very nice person and great neighbor. He will be missed.

Dear Hoover Family, Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. We have many fond memories of times spent with your family. We send our love and heartfelt sympathy to you . We know you will miss Dick, and pray for all your wonderful memories of him to heal your hearts and bring you peace. Sincerely, Jon & Cynthia

Dear the Hoover family - my prayers and thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time. Also ways celebrate his memory. I am sure he will be missed by many.

My sympathy to you Linda and Sandy. I spent many hours at your home but never got to know Dick. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time ??

Dick and I became friends in 1964. We then became brothers when he said I was the brother he never had. That was a great honor because of the man Dick was. A devoted Husband to his wife, and a loving father to his children. We called each other on our birthdays for 50 years. In Vietnam it was the MARS line. Tonight I will call you on my knees using the God Line. Tom & Julie Lanfier

May the love and caring that surrounds you help to comfort you... and know that you are in my thoughts with very heartfelt sympathy.... Dick is remembered as fun, caring, sincere, and devoted to his family and friends.... May you find comfort in the loving memories that will be with you always... With deepest sympathy and peaceful comfort. Karen Tousey

Sandy and family.... Words are so hard at a time like this. I remember Dick from high school and probably haven't seen him since then, although we'd talked on the phone when I was visiting in CR. Always had a sense of humor that I'll always remember. Thoughts and prayers to all of you.

We still remember with great fondness how the loving Hoover family accepted our family when we moved many years ago to the Cedar Rapids community. Patty, our thoughts and prayers are with you and the Hoover family during this time of loss. Dick was a great guy and will always be remembered.

Dear Hoover Family - I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Hoover's passing. When I used to come over to play during my days with Jenny at Arthur Elementary (many years ago) I remember Mr. Hoover's kindness and great smile. You are in my thoughts. Sincerely, Liz Ehrhart

Linda, Sandy, and Patty – I am so very sorry to hear of Dick's passing. I have so many good childhood memories of him and all of us growing up on G Ave. And all the good times we had with our parents at cook outs, fireworks and sleep overs. I am thinking of all of you. Lynn
