James Nicholas Edmunds, 71, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday June 2, 2024, Northbrook Manor Care Center in Cedar Rapids, after an extended illness. Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 13, 2024, 1:00 pm, in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include; a brother, Stephen Edmunds, and cousins, Rose (Tom) Chapman and Carolyn Scheer.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
James Edmunds was born August 7, 1952, in Panama City, Panama to parents, Gerald and Ruth Edmunds. James graduated from Jefferson High School in 1972. James was an accomplished baseball player and played in a professional league in the Midwest. He worked at Quaker Oats in Cedar Rapids for over 30 years. James was known for his generosity to children, and fondness for pets. James will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
