Margaret Ann Race Stamp, 88, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Woodlands of Methwick Community.
Margaret was born February 21, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to Frank Blackman and Margaret (Armstrong) Race, Sr. She was active in her church. Margaret was a loving, caring mother who enjoyed gardening. She had many fond memories of her youth, spent in Florida, and the time spent on the farm in Marion, Iowa.
She is survived by her children Tim (Carol) Stamp of Marion and Julie Brooks of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren: Molly and Jack Stamp; brother Bob Race of Coral Gables, Florida; and sister Gina Race of Tampa, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Frank Race, Jr.
Margie’s children would like to give a special thank you to her loving family at Methwick. You cared for, respected, and loved her each and every day as if she were one of your own.
