Anna Marie Siemering, 78, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Bickford of Marion.
In accordance with Anna’s wishes, a private funeral service was held at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, followed by burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Anna was born June 18, 1948, in Vinton, Iowa, the daughter of George and Maxine (Bunz) Kotouc. She was united in marriage to Albert Siemering on June 18, 1971, in Vinton.
Anna devoted much of her life to caring for and supporting children. While raising her two sons, she volunteered as a paraeducator with the Cedar Rapids Community School District. Her love for the students and the work led to a full-time position, and she went on to serve as a paraeducator for more than 25 years.
Outside of work, Anna enjoyed gardening, painting, and traveling with Albert, especially taking bus tours together. Anna’s kindness, caring spirit, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Anna is survived by her loving husband, Albert of Cedar Rapids, IA; two sons, Kevin Siemering of Cedar Rapids, IA; and Chad (Jen) Siemering of Marion, IA; three grandchildren, Jack, Emery, and Merrick; and a brother, Jody Kotouc of Toledo, IA; and extended loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Ralph and John.
