I have lost a very dear and true friend of many years. Margie and I were pioneering members of the Linn County Historical Museum Association (The History Center), enjoyed attending area events and church activities together, played lots of happy Scrabble games with Margaret Wignall, and had many a close visit over a cup of tea in the kitchen and while checking on her garden in the back yard. It was always an extra highlight when Julie and Tim were home, too. I always looked forward to spending a day with Margie and her parents at their home in Florida during my winter vacations in Naples, and shall never, ever forget the magnificent trip Margie and I took together to the Holy Land. She was a wonderful gal with such a kind heart, soft voice, and sweet smile--indeed a pleasure to have as a friend and someone who I feel blessed to have known. My sincerest sympathy to Tim, Julie, and your families at this sad time of loss.
