Memorial
Craig Wesley Stoll, 76, of Marengo, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo, Iowa. A public visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom. A memorial service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 25, 2026, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial will follow the service and take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held later Friday, September 25, 2026, from 5:00 – 9:00 PM at Morgan Creek Park (Morgan Creek Shelter), located at 7212 E Ave NW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Craig was born July 26,1950 to Norman “Bud” and Bessie (Price) Stoll in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Bessie passed away while Craig was an infant, and after his father remarried, he was raised by Margaret “Peg”. Craig graduated from Cedar Rapids Washington High School in 1969. He married Pamela Ellis and together they had two sons. He later married Donna Chavez on December 9, 1989, in Cedar Rapids, gaining three daughters. Craig worked for Wonder Bread in sales and gave 38 years of service.
Craig enjoyed bowling, camping, attending beach parties, Black Friday shopping with his daughters, hosting family and holiday events, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. In retirement, Craig discovered many new hobbies, including photography, learning to play guitar, online shopping, and building gifts for his family. Craig was known for his witty sarcasm, wearing nice loafer shoes, good smelling cologne, and making sure to have a brush or comb to keep his hair looking great. He loved spending time with his family and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Chad (Soni) Stoll, Paul (Kari) Stoll, Carrie (Dave) Herman, and Cami (Randy) Hudson; siblings, Marcia (Denis) Chavez, and Clair (Joyce) Stoll; 13 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews.
Craig is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Donna, daughter, Kimberly Jo, and his sister, Rae Ann.
