When I moved to Iowa from Wyoming Larry was one of the few who gave me an opportunity within the Prairie Kids Wrestling community. Which helped out my officiating career. For quite a few years I officiated at his tournaments. I can’t say enough about Larry and his unrelenting generosity. When I was at any Prairie event I made it a habit to go visit with him. I will miss him as I know you all will. Hopefully Prairie will name an event for him. Rest in peace Larry.

Our Sympathies and condolences to the Hardin family. Larry was a influence in my life as he was by little league coach when I was young. He also impressed on me the need to give back and give time an energy to your community. He will be missed by all he touched with his kindness.

As we grow old, our new reality is saying goodbye to those who touched our lives in a very meaningful way. Larry was a great, kind, funny, thoughtful, and helpful man. He was an amazing role model for his family and all who knew him. When he saw a need, he stepped up to fill that need.
God bless him and his family!

Unfortunately we just learned of Larry's passing and are out of town and unable to attend. We have always had a great amount of respect for Larry and our thoughts are with the family at this time. He was always a huge part of the Prairie family. He will be dearly missed. Jim and Sandy

I always enjoyed working events where Larry was present. He brought me on to help with some of the youth wrestling events. I always enjoyed our visits and visiting him when he was working the concessions at Prairie Events. He will be missed!

Here's a song I wrote regarding Grandpa Larry:
It's called: Shine In Heaven
[Verse]
I miss you already, my heart wants to cry... it seems like forever... when I told you goodbye... oh but grandpa we love you mmm such an incredible guy..oooohhh
[Chorus]
now you shine in heaven.. such a beautiful angel.. now your with Cindy and your loved one's. such beautiful angels... ooooh grandpa we love you
[Verse]
I wanted more time mmm I know we all did... but asking for more time mmm was as selfish as we could get... they say if you love somebody you will let them go.. this isn't a goodbye... it's a I'm going to see you in the next lifetime ohhhhh
[Chorus]
now you shine in heaven.. such a beautiful angel.. now your with Cindy and your loved one's. such beautiful angels... ooooh grandpa we love you
[Verse]
such a beautiful angel.. oooooh you're so amazing... now go be with Jesus and help be the guide that we need ooooohh
[Chorus]
now you shine in heaven.. such a beautiful angel.. now your with Cindy and your loved one's. such beautiful angels... ooooh grandpa we love you

Dee and family, I am sorry to hear of Larry's passing. Your family have been in my prayers these last few months as he fought.
He was a loving and caring man and supported his children in everything. That love grew with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He had so much enthusiasm for all things Prairie, most of it was watching his children and grandchildren.
He was a sports enthusiasts and shared that with those he knew.
Larry did so much for his family, close friends and really just to anyone if he could.
His time was valuable with all the things and people who spent time with him.
I still continue to pray for all of you.
I will miss hearing and seeing Larry but I will always think of him as the man he was.
