David “Dave” LeRoy Lorenzen, 75, of Cedar Rapids, passed away, May 27, 2026. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Chapel of Memories.

He was born on April 2, 1951, in Waterloo, IA, the son of LeRoy and Leota (Hupfeld) Lorenzen. David was united in marriage to Catherine Anderson on March 22, 2014, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He retired from Whirlpool in 2015. Dave enjoyed attending Car Shows and Farmers Markets in the area. He also liked music, especially the oldies, but goodies. Dave was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Survivors include his wife of twelve years, Catherine of Cedar Rapids; son, Steven Lorenzen (Cassie) of Cedar Rapids; stepdaughters, Heather (Joe) Lee and Heidi Seago (Craig Proesh); stepsons, Matt (Alina) Meyer and Lucas (Adrienne) Meyer; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
