Memorial
Loretta Lee Tesar, 63, of Dundee, Iowa, passed away Monday, March 9, 2026, at UnityPoint Health St. Luke’s Living Center West. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.
Loretta was born March 11, 1962, to Roderick and Gladys (Brake) Damon in Blue Hill, Maine. After she graduated from high school, she went on to obtain her nurses aid license. She gave many years of service to Living Center West. She married Christopher Tesar on June 13, 2012, in Bentonville, Arkansas.
She enjoyed playing the flute, writing poetry, crocheting, and sewing. She loved her family and cherished the time that was spent with them.
Loretta is survived by her children, Lauren (Jordan) McMurrin of Dundee, IA, Gregory McCorkle of Cedar Rapids, IA, Rebecca McCorkle, of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Joshua Damon of Camden, South Carolina; grandchildren, Dustin, Charlie, Vanessa, Scarlett, Owen, and ReaLeigh; sister, Kathy Jo Wenndt (Paul Heuchelin),
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Brian Damon, Cecil Novak, and Gregory Novak.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
