Beverly Ann James Busenbark, 87, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, was called home July 8, 2026, where she was led into Glory by her daughter Tami who left this earthly world in 2022.
Born May 9, 1939, to Paul and Harrietta James, Bev and her older brother Bill were raised in Marion. When Bev was 16, she met the love of her life and the boy she would marry, Donald Busenbark. Bev or Dolly as Don lovingly called her were married October 20, 1956, and would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year. Together they raised their 3 children, Tami, Kelly, and David on Don’s family farm. Being a city girl, Bev was so proud that she became Don’s right-hand man on the farm.
Bev is survived by her constant companion Don; daughter, Kelly Gorkow (Steve); son, David; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM, Monday, July 13, 2026, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. There will also be Visitation from 9:30-10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 14th at Faith Bible Church in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Services will be held at Faith Bible Church at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 14th. Entombment will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Bev was a faithful bride, loving mother, grandparent, and friend to many. She will be remembered for her deep faith and was always there to offer a kind word and one of her special hugs.
