Douglas H. Willey of Mechanicsville, Iowa passed away on August 21st, 2026. Services and Interment were held privately.
He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1943 to Ralph and Esther (Brinkman) Willey. Douglas graduated from Mechanicsville High School in 1961. On June 17, 1962, Douglas married Edith R. Oldorf of Mechanicsville.
Douglas worked for Wilbur Colby Farms for 17 years. Also worked locally for Morley Feed and Grain, Arden Achenbach Trucking, retired from trucking in 2006 after driving over the road 23 years for Hudson Trucking, Lou Sommerville Trucking and Don Hummer Trucking. Started farming in 1993 until retiring in 2016.
He joined Fremont Lodge #616 of the Masons in Mechanicsville in 1966 and became a Master Mason. He was honored in 2016 for 50 years of active membership.
Douglas is survived by his wife Edith and daughters Jody (Scott) Kruckenberg and JoAnn Willey both of Cedar Rapids, IA; sister Janice Vine, Barnes City, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Roger A. Willey & Gerald L. Willey.
