Linda Juliana Loe-Jemtrud, 71, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026, in Marion, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at The Chris & Suzy DeWolf Family Innovation Center.

Linda was born May 27, 1954 in St. Paul, MN to Lloyd and Arline (Lenart) Loe. She graduated from Moorhead State University in 1976 with a degree in Marketing and Communications. On June 27, 1981, she married Don R. Jemtrud and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and their community.

Linda and Don raised their two sons, James and Jacob, in Fargo, North Dakota, where they lived for over forty years before moving to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to be closer to family.

Linda worked in the marketing field, holding positions with the Fargo/Moorhead Chamber of Commerce, Dakota Bank, and St. John/St. Ansgar Hospitals. In 1991, she stepped away from her career to focus on raising her family.

Linda was deeply committed to her community and her faith. She was actively involved in the School PTA, the FEAT Program for Special Needs Children, and the Fargo/Moorhead Youth Symphony. At Hope Lutheran Church, she taught Sunday School and served as a Stephen Minister for many years, offering guidance, compassion, and support to others.

Linda’s life was grounded in a deep and unwavering faith, which guided how she cared for others and lived each day. She had a gift for connection. She genuinely enjoyed people, valued meaningful conversation, and never hesitated to reach out, listen, or offer support.

She had a joyful, uplifting presence that drew people in. Her positivity was contagious, and her sense of humor, often a little goofy like her father’s, brought lightness to those around her. She formed lasting friendships wherever she went.

Music was a constant in Linda’s life. She was a talented piano player who played with both skill and instinct. She read the music, but ultimately played the notes she felt mattered the most with ease and beauty. She also built an extensive music collection across many genres, often using it to set the mood and create atmosphere.

Linda was highly driven and took pride in doing things the right way. Whether in her work, home, or relationships, she gave her full effort. She was a natural leader, full of ideas, and brought energy and purpose to everything she did.

She found joy in projects, especially working in her yard and garden and caring for her rose bushes. Most of all, she cherished time spent hosting family and friends gathered at her Fargo, North Dakota home.

Linda is survived by her husband, Don; her son James and his wife, Stephanie, and their son Silas of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her son Jacob of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her sister Pamela Larson and her husband, Loy, of Fargo, North Dakota; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Arline Loe; her nephew, Daniel Hahn; and her brother-in-law, Dale Hahn.

Memorial contributions may be made to the The Chris & Suzy DeWolf Family Innovation Center for Aging & Dementia.

Thank you for the years of love, wisdom, and conversation, all grounded in a life of faith. May you now play your piano for the Lord.
