Mary Jo and family, So sorry for your loss thinking of you. Hold onto your happy memories. God bless you. Kathy McCarthy

Richard and I were saddened to hear of Don’s passing. Condolences to the family. We have enjoyed the pictures Jenny and Shelly have shared on Facebook. We laughed at the mention of Don and his back scratching. I can still picture him leaning up against the fireplace in the chalet. Jane and Richard.

Don was a great guy. I've had the good fortune of meeting with him a few times through the years. My condolences to the entire wood family.

I am saddened to learn of Don’s passing. He was a faithful visitor before Archie passed away and loved to laugh and always had a smile for you whenever he saw you. My sincere concolices to Connie and the entire family. Rose Blackford

Don was a good friend of me and my dad. Mary Jo, I went to Regis high school with you. Please accept my condolences. Good man.

Our prayers and thoughts to Don’s family during this time. To Mary Jo and Mike what wonderful memories you have shared with Don. His lifetime sounds like it was well spent… just about perfect.

I was saddened to learn of Don's death. In 1984 I was director of the Indian Creek Nature Center and had received a grant to build a maple syrup building. I had several bids but the most memorable was from Don Wood. He looked at the plans and said, "Rich, I've never built a maple syrup building and will probably never again have the chance to build on. But, I want to build this one." His bid was high but I accepted it. Don and his staff did a superb job crafting this building, and especially it's complex cupola that vents steam. During construction many visitors stopped to see the work and Don graciously took time to greet them and let them know what he was building. His work was superlative and has functioned well for nearly forty years. Thousands will visit during the late March Maple Syrup Festival. The building is Don's legacy. Rich Patterson
