Linda Marie Ealy passed away on May 7, 2024, after a brave fight against cancer. Linda was born on May 10, 1956, to Raymond and Vlasta Hulshizer. Linda graduated from Kennedy High school in 1974. Linda met the love of her life Jerry while cruising 1st Ave with friends. Linda married Jerry Ealy 6 months later September 1, 1974, and would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this September. When they married, Linda gained 7 sisters and 1 brother plus their spouses.
Linda leaves behind her loving husband Jerry; two daughters Stacy (Mike) Sargent and Lisa (Eric) LaCoursiere; 9 grandchildren, Brittan (David) Sargent, Bret (Micayla) Sargent, Mikala (Nate) Carney, Cody Ealy, Kayden Lacoursiere, Cameron LaCoursiere, Jace LaCoursiere, Braden LaCoursiere and Alyssa LaCoursiere; along with 5 great-grandchildren, Alana Faye, Lakilyn Jones, Beau Sargent, Bentley Sargent and Leo Carney.
She is preceded in death by her father Raymond Hulshizer and her mother Vlasta Hulshizer; her grandfather Wesley Miller and grandmother Frances Miller; her aunt Alma Dostal; father-in-law Raymond Ealy and her mother-in-law Namoi Ealy; and 5 sisters and brothers-in-law.
Anyone that knew Linda knew that family was her everything. She loved with her whole heart and those of us that experienced her love will forever be changed. Family and friends of Linda knew she loved thrifting, going to garage sales and deal find at local stores. Linda worked at Yonkers for 18 years at Lindale mall, was a custodian for Rockwell Collins and her last 7 years at College Community Schools. Linda will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and coworkers.
A visitation will be held Thursday, May 16th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Cedar Memorial, with a graveside service to follow. After the service, the family will have a lunch in honor of Linda at the family Farm. If joining us at the farm, seating is limited. Please feel free to bring lawn chairs.
