Memorial
Robert Richard Warren, 92, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away August 10th, 2024. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 16th, 2024, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with visitation taking place one hour prior. Burial will follow the service and take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Robert was born in Ladora, Iowa to Willard and Ethel (Klein) Warren on November 10th, 1931. He attended school at Ladora Country School and Marengo School. Robert served in the US Army from 1952-1954 in Korea. After his service he worked at Wilson’s Meat Packing Plant and later became an independent owner/operator of a feed truck and later a dump truck. Robert married his first wife Peggy on May 19th, 1956, and remained with her for twenty-one years until she passed away in 1977. He then married his second wife Ruby Hill on November 11th, 1978.
He was proceeded in death by his first wife Peggy Warren; daughter, Donna Rose; his parents, Willard and Ethel Warren; siblings, Max Warren, Raymond Warren, Dorothy McNally, Elizabeth Wescott, and Doris Nelson; grandson, Jason Matus.
Robert is survived by his second wife, Ruby Warren; son Ronald (Trudy) Warren; stepchildren, James (Ozzie) Hill, Larry Hill, Randy Hill, Julie (Steve) Wermager; sister Helen (Earl) Spinler; nine grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
