Paul Edward Pospisil, 83, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Per his request, a graveside service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 1 PM at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery Section: Garden of Cross.
He was born June 18, 1939 to August and Wilma Jane (Thompson) Pospisil. Paul graduated from high school in Greeley, Iowa in 1957. He worked at Lefebure Corporation in Cedar Rapids for 34 years and left in 1992 due to health problems. He married Judy Bickel on June 27, 1969. They made their home in Marion, Iowa and had one son, Brian. Paul enjoyed working outdoors, bald eagles and spoiling their cats, Callie and Abby.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Judy; son, Brian; grandson, Terryk Bellinger; 2 brothers, Kenneth (Barb) of Marion and Thomas (Vickie) of West Des Moines; and his sister, Christine Laugeness (Olie) of Moorhead, MN. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Roy and Rose Bickel; and sisters, Karen and Barbara.
