So sorry to the Tapken family for your loss. You have many good memories to hold on to and in time the tears will clear and those memories will put big smiles on your faces again. You know he loved you and I am sure he knew how well loved he was by you.

I was saddened to learn of the death of my former employee, Marvin. I hired him when I was executive director of the Indian Creek Nature Center, and he was a valued employee for several years. Marvin was a warm, compassionate, helpful, and skilled man. I have two distinct memories of him: 1. In the aftermath of the 2008 Flood Marvin and I "mucked out" the gooey mess in the Nature Center's downstairs. 2. Marvin had great ability to make things we needed out of scraps and things we had around. Marvin pleasantly interacted with visitors and seemed to take joy in seeing visiting children. My thoughts go to his family and friends. Rich Patterson

My sympathy to all. We were neighbors in CR for several years. Marvin was such a worker and gardener.

Sue and family. Sorry to hear of your loss.

Sending hugs and prayers to you Melanie and David and your family. So sorry for the loss of your grandfather.

Sending condolences. Thank you for your service, sir!
