A livestream of the funeral service can be viewed at https://www.cedarmemorial.com/Obituary/2021/Jan/Dolores-K-Boelter/Video.aspx beginning Friday, January 15, 2021 at 2:00pm.

Dolores was born on January 28,1935 in Elmhurst, IL, the oldest of 4 children of Andrew and Anna (Mensing) Kalbantner. She graduated from York High School in Elmhurst, IL in 1953. She worked at numerous places, including US Bank and Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust. She married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Richard Boelter, on December 21,1957 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Villa Park, IL. Dolores and Kenneth were charter members since 1961 of St Mark’s United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids. At the church she served as liturgist, organist, and volunteered in numerous church organizations.

Dolores spent most of her adult life raising her 3 children. Her family will dearly miss her smile, warmth, her endless caring nature and sense of humor. She always put others first and was the first person to put a card in the mail when someone had a birthday or graduation. We do take comfort in knowing God’s promises are true, and as a believer in Jesus Christ as her Savior she will be eternally alive in Heaven.

Dolores is survived by her husband of 63 years; son, David Boelter of Lehi, UT; daughters, Nancy (Daniel) Van Oss of Solon, IA and Carol Boelter of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Nicholas Boelter of Chandler, AZ, Reghan Boelter of Salt Lake City, UT, Emily Capper of Iowa City, IA, Erin Capper of Waverly, IA, Allison Capper of Cedar Falls, IA, Shelby, Wesley and Tobey Wilson of Lincoln, NE; sister, Jean (George) Prince of Downers Grove, IL; and brother, Don (Bonnie) Kalbantner of Princeton, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lorraine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St Mark’s United Methodist Church of Cedar Rapids.
