Loretta Snyder Allard, 84, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday September 9, 2015 in her home. Services: 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. David Renfro. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel from 4-7 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. at the church on Saturday.

Loretta was born August 14, 1931, the daughter of Frank and Mary Behrends Snyder. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1949 and Married Roy H. Allard at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids on September 15, 1952. Loretta was employed by Merchants National Bank, Penick &  Ford and retired from Von Maur in 1993. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Loretta was active in Camp Fire and taught a neighborhood Ladies Bible Class. 

Survivors include her husband Roy of 62 years, two children, Rhonda Allard McGowan of Indianola, Iowa and Mike (Chris) Allard of Plymouth, Minnesota, five grandchildren; Pastor Andrew (Allison) McGowan, Aaron (Rhiannon) McGowan, Amy (Kyle) Schock, Tara and Jenna Allard. Five great-grandchildren; Elias, Loretta, Rigby and Amariah McGowan and Madelynn Schock. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary, and her brother, Robert. 

We would like to thank Dr. Wahle and Jennifer, Dr. Ghosh, Dr. Banks and staff, and Unity Point Hospice-Amy and Angie for all their loving care. We would also like to thank Pastor David Renfro.
