Julie A. Wuchter, 57, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on June 6, 2026.
Julie was born on May 1, 1969 and graduated from Independence High School. She attended Kirkwood Community College and was employed at Hy-Vee at the time of her passing. Julie had a deep love for nature and found great joy and peace spending time in her garden, and gently caring for the local wildlife, especially the deer she loved to feed. She also held a special place in her heart for her beloved cats. Julie was deeply loved by her family who will miss her dearly.
She is survived by her longtime friend, Jason Jahr; her father, Ted Wuchter of Hazleton; her sister, Lynn Schmidt-Drake (Rick) of Elkhorn, Wisconsin; her brother, Clint Wuchter of Cedar Rapids; her brother, Shawn Wuchter (Angie) of New Hampton; and her sister, Tracy Pridie of Cedar Rapids. Julie also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Pat Wuchter.
A visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, located at 4200 First Avenue NE. A graveside service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. to honor and celebrate Julie's life.
