"I grew up with Ladd and during an 8th grade religious retreat, Ladd was the one with the wisest comments to help the rest of us feel closer to God. Ladd was always the leader with character, kindness, wisdom and heart. We all loved him dearly because we felt like he was leading us somewhere kind and good.
