We are so sorry to hear about Ron's passing. He was a wonderful man who gave much to the Legion family. May your precious memories of him help console you in the days ahead.

Luann and family, Please accept our condolences on Ron’s passing. Ron was a man that was dedicated to his work at Cargill and after, with the moving wall. I hold strong to the memories of seeing you and Ron at some events that Shirley and John had and I remember Ron always being happy smiling and making jokes. He was a very caring man. May God hold your family at this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family during this difficult time. Ron will be missed and I cherish my memeries of him for the rest of my life.

Ron was one my closest friends growing up! We were roommates in college. There are a lot of great memories there! He was one of the good guys!

When the Moving Wall was going to be in Anamosa a number of years ago, Ron called me so I wouldn't miss it. My cousin Bill Rees has his name on that import piece of history and it was important to Ron to have some family present. I am so very grateful he made the effort but not surprised. He truly loved and cared about remembering the fallen. Rest well now Soldier. We have the Watch.

Ron was a true friend, favorite cousin and fellow veteran. We were always running into each other at our Veteran's event and he always greeted me with hugs and Hellos!! Us Dirks cousins will miss him so very much.

I'm so deeply sorry for your loss. My dad "Harry" worked with Ron at Cargill. I have many fond memories of Ron at the Cargill company picnics.
