I just recently got to know this precious family and they are absolutely amazing! We're sending our love and prayers to you all always! She seemed to be a lady that lit up a room with just her smile and a lady beautiful inside and out!

I will always remember Mary Jo at the cottage on the Mississippi River in Dubuque. Many happy memories of her and all of us cousins running barefoot on the sandbars. Sending hugs to all who loved her dearly.

Barefoot by the River
Today we gather with hearts that ache,
Missing the woman we love so dear.
Yet even in sorrow, we feel your presence,
For your love still lingers here.
We picture you now by the river,
Barefoot once more, just as long ago.
At the cottage you loved so much,
Where the Mississippi's waters gently flow.
There you found peace and simple joy,
A fishing line cast upon the stream.
Surrounded by laughter and family,
Living moments that now feel like a dream.
The games of Yahtzee, the books you cherished,
The stories shared around the table for years,
Have become treasured gifts you leave behind,
To comfort us through our tears.
Though our family circle seems broken today,
And the chair you filled now sits still,
Your love continues to bind us together,
And always will.
So as we say goodbye for now,
We trust God's promise is true.
The Lord has called you home to rest,
And Heaven has welcomed you.
The world shines a little less brightly,
But Heaven shines a little more.
And those who were blessed to know and love you
Will carry your light forevermore. ❤️

A Mother's Love
A mother's love is something
that no one can explain.
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain.
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may,
for nothing can destroy it
or take that love away.
Though her smile is gone forever
and her hand we cannot touch,
we still have many memories
of the one we loved so much.
Her memory is our keepsake,
with which we'll never part.
God has her in His keeping,
we have her in our hearts.
