Memorial

On March 8th, Winston punched his last ticket for the trolley and went off to Heaven to find his Mom and Dad (Judy and Harvey), and Mr. Rogers, He was turning 62 years old; and from now on he's 19 like he always said he was.

To his many friends, Winston was loyal and kind. He was a founding member of Just Ducky Shredding. For 15 years, he served as both worker and scamp. This will be a hard-to-fill position. His shredder will be retired.

He valued his many helpers, and will be missed at his home at Discovery Living, at his day program at MileStones, by his helpers with O'Connells Transport, and in his Music Therapy circle with Lisa Klostermann. He leaves behind a vast collection of stuffed animals; mostly monkeys, and a fleet of transistor radios permanently tuned to KHAK. Now hopefully, Winston can sing with Johnny Cash and Elvis whenever he wants to. He also leaves behind his very longtime caregivers and friends, Lori and Dan Raleigh. They could write a book, but probably shouldn't.

There is a Celebration of Life in the planning stages in the form of a party that will be held at Unity Church with music by Jim McDonough, in person. Since there are so many longtime friends and helpers out there, please email Lori Raleigh at Imgerdes@hotmail.com for the details.

Winston will so surely be missed, but from his viewpoint, it's now a "beautiful day in the neighborhood".
