Sam and family, I was deeply saddened to learn of John's passing. He was such a wonderful guy, multi-talented, passionate about family, faith, his students, sport, and so much more. And so proud of the kids and grandkids! I have many great memories of our Fairfax days, and hope that Krummy, Sprint, Hamer, and so many other good friends are sharing beers and swapping stories at a Star Hotel in heaven. Deepest condolences to you all.

Mr. Krumbholz was a great principal. My first two years of elementary school were at St. Patrick's before the consolidation. I can remember him helping me adjust to kindergarten. First grade was a little bit easier. There was a field trip with the Polar Express in Waverly. It was pretty fun. I ended up going to St. Jude's after Holy Family School System consolidation happened. I do remember being in fifth grade toward the end of the year and doing a middle school visit - he took the time to talk with me before the tour. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Mary and the Krumbholz family. Thinking of you and your family at this very difficult time. John and I served together as fellow principals for Holy Family Catholic School System for several years. What a pleasure to work side by side with such a dedicated educator. Children were John’s main focus in our quest for educational excellence. Judy and I send our deepest sympathies and prayers. Rest in peace John.

I am so sorry for John's passing. He hired me for my first teaching position at St. Patrick's! He was a fair and caring boss. I have so many memories from my years at St. Patrick's and the many teachers that were better because of John's guidance. RIP John.

My sincere sympathy to the Krumbholz family. I remember John from LaSalle and his many years at St Pat’s as a lector, principal & fellow parish member. At LaSalle, I was a freshman on the baseball team when he was a senior. He was a good pitcher, a lefty. Praying that, over time, you all will find peace within your grief, and be sustained by the many good memories you have of John. He will be greatly missed.

Mary and family my deepest condolences. Opened the Sunday newspaper and read your news. Have been thinking of you and you will be in my thoughts especially these next couple of days. A special friend, Carla

Mr. Krumbholz, John was an excellent Principal! St. Patrick's School shined under his dedicated concern, care and passion for the students' Catholic education! St. Patrick's transition to a middle school was a very large task! John put together a faculty that shared his mission to strive everyday to be the best Christian educators for our students. I had the privilege of being part of that team. John allowed us the time to celebrate our victories and share in our sorrows. Mr. Krumbholz was a firm task master and we proudly followed his lead. My gosh, after all these years I have tears in my eyes as I write this condolence. God bless you family. My thoughts and prayers are with you!! He is in great Hands!

While I did not know John please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. My father was John's Grand Mother Maude's Brother, and his father Kenny was my cousin. May God bless and sustain you in this most difficult of times.

Sam, I am so sorry for your loss. My sincere condolences to you and your family. God bless.

Mr Krumbholz was the best principal. He was exactly where God intended for him to be! I have so many fun memories from St Pats and things he would let me do (like use the intercom) bc I was student council “president.” He made each student feel special and was always so fun to be around. I also have memories of Sam allowing me to ride with her to help at Girl Scout camps and feeling very special for getting to do so. Many special memories made for a young girl thanks to such a wonderful family. May your memories of all the good times shared bring you comfort. My prayers are with you, God Bless.

Sam and family: I certainly enjoyed getting to know Krummy and playing softball with him and our mutual friends. He was a great guy. Our sincere condolences to you all. Tom and Lisa Hurn

My heartfelt condolence to the family and friends of John. Though he interacted with many people throughout his active life, he changed my life in many profound ways. Besides going to school and church throughout our lives together (graduating1 year apart), John invited me to create photo workshops at St. Patrick's K-8, and stemming from that I took SP & Xavier photo students to Taos and Scotland, including his daughter Cassie on both trips. His son Nick also was one of my photo students. From those workshops I was hired to teach in College for Kids for 25 years, a life-changing connection. John was instrumental in keeping St. Patrick's church vibrant following the disastrous 2008 flood, and that mattered to my family as I would return from Colorado to take my mother to mass in my home church. John and I were both pall bearers in Lousetta Driscoll's funeral. In short, a wonderful person who affected many lifes. God Bless.

Sam and family I am so very sorry to hear about John passing away. I know he struggled for years with Parkinson’s and he’s now at peace, but I pray for you guys as you navigate all through this. Praying for you guys love you, Sam!
