Raymond and Mae spent 60 plus years on their farm near Palo where they raised hogs, had a dairy herd, feeder cattle, and stock cows. He enjoyed his stock herd, watching new calves, and crops of corn and beans growing, and keeping his red tractors washed and waxed. His hobbies were bowling, playing cards, reading Western books, and watching Western movies and the Hawkeyes on TV.

Per Raymond's wishes, there will be a private family service and cemetery rites at Cedar Memorial. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Shellsburg Presbyterian Church, Hospice of Mercy in Hiawatha, Palo American Legion Post 679, or your favorite charity in remembrance of Raymond.
