Melanie Denise Viner-Bramow, 52, of Marion, Iowa passed on Monday, December 29, 2025, of natural causes. A private family graveside service will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Melanie is survived by her children, James Michael Viner and Jessica Christine Viner, a grandson, Kaden Landon; her parents, Michael (Mike) and Julia (Julie) Viner; a sister, Michelle Viner, and her children, Megan, Morgan and Matthew.
Melanie was preceded in death by her husband and soulmate, Douglas Bramow, Jr., and granddaughter, Zalina Viner.
Melanie was born on August 8, 1973, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Mike and Julie Viner. She graduated from John F. Kennedy Senior High School with the Class of 1991. Melanie celebrated this milestone with a memorable gathering of family and friends, many of whom traveled from as far away as Napa Valley, California.
In the years that followed, Melanie was a devoted and proud mother to James and Jessica, always celebrating their accomplishments and supporting them with unwavering love. She lived her life with passion and loved “big,” a love that extended even beyond that of her beloved Saint Bernard, Lucas.
On March 17, 2017, Melanie married her best friend and soulmate, Douglas Bramow, Jr. Their profound love for one another was evident in their daily lives and remained a constant source of joy until Doug’s passing in 2022.
Melanie was blessed to spend the holidays with her family, creating memories that will be cherished by all prior to her passing.
