To the Steadman family, my deepest condolences to you all for the loss of your beloved husband, father and grandfather. I was extremely blessed to have met this kind hearted gentleman in my early middle school years. My class was the first 6th grade classes to start at CB Vernon Junior High in the 70's,maybe in 75-76, long before it's change over to Vernon. This very kindly man always had time for all his students and he greated everyone with a big smile every day! If he ever had a bad day we never would of known, even when he attempted to discipline a student he did it sternly but with kindness. Many years after having left and I moved away then moving back I was walking with my son who was 4-5 yrs old and by chance saw Mr. Steadman pulling into his driveway, I stopped and said hello and it only took him a minute or so before he recalled who I was. Unfortunately we did not have long to talk as he was taking groceries inside and he had a young man I'm guessing to be either a son or grandson anxious for his attention and my son wanted to go to the park. That was back in 87-88. I was glad to have seen him and having the chance to thank him for his kindness and impression he made on me in my youth. I think anyone who had the opportunity to have met and known Mr. Steadman was lucky and blessed to have known him! You his family very lucky and blessed to have had him as your family member. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May you find peace and comfort in God and each other. Rest in Peace kind sir and thank you for your guidance 🙏!✝️.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I remember him when I went to Verde in middle school. He was one of the best guidance ever.. His wittiness and his jokes were the best.. We know he's in a better place now. Like people said, he found the answers to his questions... And he is in a better place... Hope you find peace in his passing..

To the family of Mr. Steadman. I am very sorry for the loss of your husband and father. I remember him as a very nice person and guidance counselor when I attended Vernon Junior High. He may be gone from this earth, but he will be remembered in our thoughts. Blessings to all of you, Deborah

So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I remember sharing Cub Scout duties with Bill when Casey and Dan were in grade school He was always patient and kind to the boys. You will be in our thoughts.
