Mark D. Neuwirth, 60, of Marion passed away July 9, 2024. Visitation: 1:30-4:00 PM, Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2900 42nd ST NE, Cedar Rapids, IA. Memorial Service: 4:00 PM, Sunday, July 14th at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Inurnment: Wisconsin Memorial Cemetery, Brookfield, WI at a future date. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mark was born on June 15, 1964, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Donald and Patricia (Stark) Neuwirth. After graduating from Milwaukee School of Engineering, he began his career at Collins Aerospace, working there for over 38 years. Mark was united in marriage to Linda Fritsch on August 1, 1987, in Sussex, WI. He was a very active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. In his free time Mark enjoyed: golf, bonfires, wood working, and basketball. He enjoyed traveling both personally and professionally. He had been to Australia, Singapore, France, and England along with many places in the U.S. including Hawaii and Alaska. His love of sports came through as he coached Michelle’s softball teams for 8 years, and soccer and basketball teams for a few years. He was a movie buff, classic rock lover and craft beer connoisseur. Most of all, he adored his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a very selfless individual who always put others ahead of himself. Mark completed numerous home improvement projects for both family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years Linda of Marion, daughter Michelle (Brandon) Luppen of Edgerton, WI, grandchildren Lilliana and Benjamin Luppen, father Donald Neuwirth of North Prairie, WI, sister Sandra (Joel) Sebald of Mukwonago, WI. Mark is also survived by his nieces and nephews and his grand-dog Gracie.
Preceding him in death was his mother Patricia Neuwirth.
