Charlotte A. Olsen 92, of Cedar Rapids, passed away, July 9, 2024. Visitation: 10 - 11 AM, Monday, July 22, 2024, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Charlotte was born on July 27, 1931, in Elgin, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Vera (Monnahan) Bennett. She was united in marriage to Elmer Norman Olsen on December 18, 1949, in Lansing, Iowa. Charlotte had worked as a bookkeeper for Peck’s Green Thumb. She enjoyed gardening and always had a huge garden at the farm. Charlotte enjoyed visiting with friends and family and could always talk your ear off. She also enjoyed bowling. Charlotte was a 4-H leader for many years for the Marionettes and Marion Urbaneers. Most of all, she lived for her granddaughter, Crystal.
Survivors include her granddaughter Crystal Hall of Kensett, sister-in-law Elnora Thorpe of Cedar Rapids, son-in-law Randy Greenwell of Cedar Rapids, and special friends Dan and Julie Kigin of Cedar Rapids.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Elmer in 2017, children Ricky Olsen, Kenneth Olsen, Keith Olsen, and Sharon Greenwell, and her eleven siblings.
