Lynn, Dru and Family……I was deeply saddened to learn of your loss of such a loved one. I send my sincere condolences, prayers, and love to your fine family.

Mike was a giant of a man and a huge personality! I had not seen him for several years but reconnected with him the last few years. He was always happy and such a nice guy! My deepest sympathy to his family!

Mike was a friend to all who met him and a realy huge personality . He will never be forgotten. He and his brother were my twins first dates to go to a dance at the Y in the early fifties. Friends for life after that. My heart goes out to the family for this huge loss. May prayer help always. Judith A. Barvinek

Best wishes to Lynn.

Mike once did me a huge favor that tells what kind of person he was. It was April of 1973 and we had just experienced a huge snowstorm and blizzard. I was in my driveway attempting to shovel about 3 feet of snow when my wife rushed to the door and said the CRPD was on the phone. They notified me that my Father had been in an accident and was at Mercy hospital. I couldn't get out of my driveway. I was helpless. Hardi Gardens was advertising, on the radio, that they would provide delivery of a snowblower to anyone calling in an order. My neighbor, across the street, had ordered one. In a few minutes here came Mike in a jeep. I knew he was my only chance and asked him if he would try and get me to Mercy. He said "sure, hop in". We lived at 31st St and E Ave so it was quite a distance and the streets were not plowed. He got me there with no problem. Unfortunately my Dad had passed. I have never forgotten Mike's kindness and willingness to help a stranger, He was a true hero, to me, that day. May he rest in peace.

Mike “Perry “ Evans was a hoot to be around day or night. In short order he would know every one in the room . I learned good manners from his family beginning in grade school! The world has lost a great ambassador who loved everyone and they loved him back.

Mike was a man who lived life big. His presence lit up smiles on all of those around him. To us as children, Mike was just a grown up version of us- a big kid. And as we became adults, he reminded us that we could still approach each day with a smile and zest for the day. He will be forever missed, but his memory will be eternal. Godspeed.
