Kenneth A. Arnell, Age 75, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Mercy Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 4 to 7 PM a funeral starting at 7 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with Sam Ludvicek officiating. A livestream of the service will be available on the Cedar Memorial website under Kenneth’s obituary under the video tab, starting on Thursday, June 9 at 7 PM. Interment will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Lakeview on Friday, June 10 at 11 AM.
Kenneth A. Arnell was born on July 6, 1946 to Sam and Jean (Rick) Arnell in Cedar Rapids, IA. He was united in marriage to Sue Peyton on January 26, 1968 for almost 40 years. He enjoyed the last 15 years with his loving girlfriend, Suzanne Gaumon. Kenneth retired from Cedar Rapids Inc. in 2005. Kenneth enjoyed playing/teaching guitar, especially at various nursing homes, singing songs, with family and friends, and frequent jam sessions. He also loved golfing, softball, mushroom hunting, bowling, horseshoes, trivia and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Kenneth proudly served in the US Army.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Mike) Baker of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Trinity, Tasia, and Chris Baker; his siblings, Jane and Patty Jean Arnell; his loving girlfriend, Suzie Gaumon. He was preceded in death by his wife Sue, his parents, brothers, Phillip, Jim, and Richard Arnell, and his sister, Judy Dort.
