Mrs. Dvorak, Sarah, Kay and family, I just heard of Jacob’s passing and am so overcome with both sadness and fond memories. I so enjoyed the Dvorak trio in 8th grade science. Jacob and I talked hunting and fishing a lot. He will be missed by many of us. My condolences to all of you. So sorry for your loss. Dave Fedler.

Diane, Sarah, Kat and family, I was heartbroken to hear of the loss of Jacob. You have my prayers as you do from many others. The service was beautiful and such a testimony to Jacob's family and his memory. Thank you for sharing his service with those of us who could not attend. I haven't seen Jacob, nor Sarah and Kat, for a long time, and all the memories I've heard and read make me smile as well as cry. I remember those 3 delightful 2nd graders from so long ago! Jacob has touched so many people and he will live on in those lives. Blessings to you all.

Diane and family, Please accept our condolences about Jacob. We always enjoyed his visits. Gene enjoyed the talks he had with Jacob about shared military experiences. Jacob was a fine young man. It was fun to watch your family grow and mature as each one of you progressed on your goals and projects. Jacob will be missed. Barb and Gene Hedberg

Diane and family, We are deeply saddened to hear about Jacob. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this time of great loss. Jacob was a very fine young man. Let us know if there is any thing we can do to help. - Vijay, Jean, Monika and Kiran Sharma

Diane and family, Our thoughts are with all of you. I can remember Jacob as a little boy at Central. He was such a kind kid and oh how he would love to see him momma after school in my classroom. What a wonderful tribute today. You must be so proud of the man he became that served his country with pride. Hugs for all of you....Chad, Jamie, Emy, and Jordan Osterbuhr

Diane and family, I am so very sorry to learn about Jacob's death. I can still picture him as a 2nd grader at Central Elementary reading books about the military. Such a sweet boy. Our family is sending you our heartfelt condolences.

I met Jacob at Iowa State during a veterans event. We found out we shared a mutual friend from his home town. I remember how devastated we both were to hear of his passing. It brought us closer together as friends. I wish I had stayed in better contact after graduation. You will be missed until Valhalla my friend.

Beautiful service. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sending much love and hugs.

What a beautiful celebration. Jacob is truly an honorable and selfless young man. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Diane, Sarah & Kay I am so sorry to hear of Jacob’s passing. We had some fun times, back in the day. He was always a good friend to Amanda & Chrissy. Again, I am so very sorry for your loss.

I went to Basic Training with Jacob Dvorak. He was a good man and a good soldier. I saw how much he wanted to be a soldier and how proud he was to graduate. He loved his family and his comrades dearly. Rest easy Jacob.

Hey Mama D, Roommate (Kat), and Best Friend (Sarah). I apologise I can't stay long but just wanted to offer my condolences and a few words. Jacob was definitely an interesting fellow growing up with, but he was also a good man. He never gave me trouble growing up and for that I appreciated. We may not have understood each other's differences, but I believe we never spoke ill of one another either. He always did like to rant about the military, it seemed like his passion - I'm sure he had crazy stories to tell. And although I didn't know him much, I like to think he was a protector of not only this country, but of his friends and family as well. I'm sorry for your loss Kat, Sarah, and Mama D. I love and miss you all!! (virtual hugs)

Al and Diane and all, Our love and prayers to you as you walk this path today. Please know we are here for you.

To Diane, Kat and Sarah, and to Latasha and those I’ve never met, my deepest condolences. I remember Jacob pre-military buzzing in and out of the bookstore in Ames. He was a good kid. At least I knew him as a kid, he grew up in a hurry into a great man. May he rest in peace, and may you all be strong.

Diane, my heartfelt Condolences to you and your Family on the loss of Jacob. The testimonial describes him as a really special Man. May he Rest In Peace.

Diane, Sarah, Kat, Latasha, We deeply grieve with you the loss of your son, brother, and fiance. The testimonial in the obituary captured Jacob so well. Now he rests in the arms of God. May God grant you peace and strength in these difficult days. -Pastor Myron and Kim, Lydia and Max.

I met Jake through his previous relationship. Jacob and I used to spend hours talking together sipping on beer until that relationship ended. He was such a kind man, a hard man for sure. But that is what war does. He did so much to help everyone before he ever helped himself. He was a good man. A GREAT man. I’m so sorry to all of you. I send my love and prayers. May he Rest In Peace and meet with his brothers in arms in Heaven.

The Wednesday Night boys want to say how sorry we are for the loss of Jacob. Daddy Al bragged about him a bunch especially when Jacob was on tour. Thank you Jacob for your service and may God Bless Jacob and the Dvorak family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Ken, Dean, Phil, JBB, Joe, George, Mike W. Jimmy R, Jim M, Kenny H
