Fred Patten

Fred has been my neighbor for the last 17 years and was always fun talking with him when I saw him outside. He will be missed.

I remember Fred as a likable bread salesman who happened to be a neighbor when I was growing up. One of his stops was the Nelson's Grocery at 1st Ave and 32nd St in the 50's and early 60's. My mom worked there, which is how I met Fred. I remember stepping into his truck occasionally and smelling the sweet aroma of the bakery. Thank you Fred.
