So sorry to hear of Dale's passing. I have many fond memories of looking up to him and his brother and sisters and playing when visiting. My dad was his uncle and they were only 15 years apart in age. I know Dad was proud of the man that Dale became. I enjoyed hearing about the life that he led in the many years since I saw him last. I'm so glad to know that I will see him when I get to heaven! Prayers for healing for your whole family as you remember him today and going forward.

As one of the lads in Battalion under Capt. Dale for years, I maintain many lovely memories of his noble and selfless influence on my Christian journey from adolescence on into manhood. Whether playing floor hockey or studying the Bible or learning a new life skill, he always led the charge in overcoming the next obstacle and teaching us to do the same. I greatly look forward to meeting him again on the day I will follow in his footsteps of overcoming my final obstacle as well. Thank you so much for supporting him as his family in the sacrifices of time and attention you all made together for the sake of strengthening the faith of young minds like mine.

Sending my condolence to the family.

He led Christian Service Brigade with me and other boys at church. We served and played hockey and always had a blast. Cap'n Dale will be missed.

Sorry to read about Dale. The lose to the family is huge. I got to know Dale while he and I ran for election to the Hiawatha City Council. I liked his ideas and integrity and was proud to serve with him. Blessings to all.
