Harold "Butch" Walker, 74, of Marion passed away peacefully surrounded by family Sunday, March 30, 2025. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5th from 9:00 am until 10:45 am at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 3275 N. Center Point Road, Cedar Rapids, IA 52411. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am.
Butch was born June 2, 1950, in Cedar Rapids to Nate and Betty (Weaver) Walker. He worked as a machinist at Goss Graphics of Cedar Rapids for 25 years. Harold loved his family deeply and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed working with his hands in his garage, tackling projects like upholstery, microwave repair, and refrigeration. He was passionate about his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and cherished holding all the babies. Harold also loved people and telling stories, often sharing his life experiences with warmth and humor.
Harold is survived by his wife of 53 years, Claudette (Post) whom he married July 10, 1971, in Marion; children, Brian (Laura) Walker, Steve (Carolyn) Walker, and David Walker; grandchildren, Madyson (Brenden) Larson, Mackenzie (Matt Kniffen) Walker, Jacob Walker, Haley Walker, Alexis (Blain) Nunnally, Sydney Walker, Kylie (Miguel) Pena, and Brooklyn Walker; great-grandchildren, Hayes, Arbor, Kyzen, Adonis, Laylen, Sawyer, Reign, Kinzley, and Koda.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nate and Betty (Weaver) Walker.
