Kevin L. Goetzinger, 59, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025, after a brief illness.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 9:00-10:00 a.m. followed with a prayer service with Fr. Douglas Loecke and a private family burial.
Kevin was born on January 20, 1966 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Rita and Leo Goetzinger.
His family and fiancée were his top priority. There wasn’t a thing he couldn’t fix or wouldn’t do for those close to him. He was a hard worker and a 24-year employee at Quaker Oats.
He enjoyed family gatherings, yardwork, going for long rides, vacations and of course, his pickup trucks and his Camaro.
Kevin was a loving son, fiancé, brother and uncle. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Kevin is survived by his mother Rita; fiancée Alana Wenger and her children (Abigail, Nicholas and Tara) and her grandchildren (Magnus and Sebastian); sisters Cindy (Verl) Day; and Lori (Gary) Ferguson; nephews Ryan (Jenna) Day, Matthew (Emily) Day, Bradley (fiancée Holly Miller) Ferguson, and niece Stephanie (Zach) Reed; and great nephews and nieces Brooks, Taylor, Everett, Macy, Addy, Lucas and baby Reed due in March.
Preceding Kevin in death were his father Leo; grandparents Andrew and Margaret Wagner; and Leo and Magdaline Goetzinger; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
