What an amazingly long life Mr. Gerhold had! My mother, Karmen Shedenhelm, often accompanied him and I remember listening to him sing hymns and The Lords Prayer at funerals or at our home when they practiced. What a beautiful voice he had and what a gift he shared with so many! You have my deepest sympathy!

I am sorry for your loss. I never met Eldred but I had met his sister. They lived down the street from us when I was growing up and i would see him walking down Williams Blvd from time to time.

I didn’t know Eldred personally but heard about him often through my family; brother-in-law, Del Kray and my sister, Karen Kray. They always marveled at his uncanny memory and recounted the many times Eldred had blessed someone with his musical talents. It is rare to know a person who lived to be a centenarian! The Lord knew it was time for him to be at rest. He was a gem. Offering my sympathizes and prayers to all who will mis him.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Eldred. I got to know Eldred through family gatherings at my sister and her husband's house. Living 107 years is quite the accomplishment. Thinking of Judy and the McCarty family.
