Devin Woods, 18, of Marion, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM, on Monday, September 30th, 2024, at Antioch Christian Church, 433 Cross Road, Marion, Iowa. Private interment. The family request family and friends to wear red or white in honor of Devin.
Devin is survived by his parents, Kathlina (Javan) Williams, of Marion, and Montrivel Woods, of Chicago; siblings, Sinqez Ray of Cedar Rapids, Tion Woods, of Atlanta, GA, Johnny Ferguson of Marion, Jazan Williams of Ankeny, Dasia Woods of Marion, Jayla Williams of Ankeny, Jaselynn Morris of Marion, Jayla Morris of Marion and Jaycion Williams of Marion; grandparents, Susan Crock of Cedar Rapids, Vernon Wenger of Marion, Catherine Woods of Chicago, Annie Jenkins of Cedar Rapids and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many friends.
He was preceded by his great-grandma, Shirley Bradford and grandfather, Melvin Horton.
Devin was born March 14, 2006, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Kathlina Williams and Montrivel Woods. Devin was a 2024 graduate of Linn-Mar High School. He loved football and played in high school. He loved tailgating and cheering for the Hawkeyes. Vacations, especially to Mexico, were some of his favorite activities. Devin was the life of the party. He was the most personable and connected person. Always had a smile on his face and never lacking confidence, he would light up the room. He changed your day for the better.
