I had the pleasure of working with Claudia at Mercy Ortho for 12 1/2 years. She was honest, teaching, hard, fair, loyal, smart and most knowing. She was fun and serious. She interacted with nurses and doctors alike with a warm personality and great humor. Claudia you were awesome and will be greatly missed by many friends and your loving family.

Claudia was a gem. A wonderful nurse in charge of the orthopedic floor in Mercy Hospital. Practical, no nonsense, full of wisdom and full of fun. A great asset to the patients and docs on the Ortho floor. I still see her roguish smile. We missed Claudia when she retired. I remember playing golf with Claudia and her dad, a very good golfer into his senior years. I’m sad to see this news but so glad to have known and admired Claudia. May she Rest In Peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Your sisters were always so special throughout her life. We heard many stories at work about Jackie and Barb as well as your Mom and Dad. Claudia had her Dad's mischievousness and sense of humor and her Moms kind heart. I worked with Claudia from when she came to Mercy in 1974 till her retirement all in orthopaedics. she touched many lives and hearts. She will be missed, especially by her Vintage 21 nursing friends!

Sad reading newspaper this Sunday about a colleague and friend. Anyone who ever worked with or "for" the Charge Nurse realizes what a tribute she was to her profession. Occasionally things were a little troublesome on the floor or in the Nurses' Station but somehow she shared the angst with a little cynical humor and life went on. We all learned from her expertise in Orthopedic and general patient care. She was the best and I had the privilege to work with most of her career. Peace, Dr. Fred
