Oh how I will miss this sweet soul 🥺 So glad to get to know and love her. The world needs more Renee’s that is for sure . May she rest in peace 🙏🏼

My condolences to Margie, Mary Carole and nieces and nephews. As a 7 year old at St John's in Lisbon (now in Mt Vernon) I met Sister Mary Renee during the summer when she came to teach at our "vacation school", after recently taking her vows. She was so lovable, so kind and yes her beautiful smile and face. I lost track of her but am so blessed to have reconnected with her a few years ago. She had so many stories to tell from the past, I enjoyed hearing everyone of them visiting her at MethWick where she lived. My last visit, two days before she passed into heaven she still had the beautiful smile for me as I reminisced and prayed with her. Rest in peace Renee, Anne Youngblut Lampe

My condolences to Renee's family.  Such a lovely lady.  Renee was our fourth-grade teacher, the first class she taught at Immaculate Conception, and we were so blessed to have her for our teacher.  Her inner beauty and peace were reflected in her beautiful smile and face. I was so lucky to be able to reconnect with Renee after retirement and my return to living in Cedar Rapids.  I enjoyed our visits at Meth Wick when she would relate stories of events past and update us on so many of her former students.  May she rest in peace. Mary Etta Courtney Formanek

Having known Renee over fifty years, I have observed her many virtues and fond attitudes towards others. She has strong convictions and an integrity that helps others to contemplate problems and solutions. Her exuberant attitude towards others has led to life friendships. My family has always enjoyed her company. Renee’s art work is beautiful and intriguing. Many of her paintings express the humanity that she found in people. The paintings are expressive and show a warm and close relationship with her subjects. Renee has a special place in the hearts of others including me.
