Virginia M. Kluber Winistorfer Miller died peacefully in her sleep on February 16, 2026, at Prairie Hills Retirement Community. Virginia was born January 19, 1929, to Stanley and Laura Kluber. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1947 and attended Coe College for 2 years. She married Joseph Winistorfer in 1953 and had 2 sons, Stanley and Eric. Joseph died in 1968 and she then married Victor Miller. They later divorced.
Virginia worked early on at Craemer's Department Store, then worked as a secretary for the City of Cedar Rapids in the Department of Planning and Redevelopment Office for 30 years, retiring in 1995.
Virginia loved being outdoors. You would often find her outside weeding and tending to the many flowerbeds she had around her house.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Laura, and her husband Joseph. Survivors include her sons Stanley (Sharon) Winistorfer of Columbia, MO, step granddaughters Kendra Kemp and Deanna Herwald, and Eric Winistorfer of Cedar Rapids. Private family interment will be at Troy Mills Cemetery.

A special thank you goes out to Prairie Hills Cedar Rapids Retirement Community, where Virginia lived the past 2 years. She really enjoyed her time there, and they took great care of her.
