My deepest condolences to Andy and the Anton family. I knew Karla from the St. Matthew’s and Regis days – so goes back awhile. Since we moved to Milwaukee, I had not seen Karla in a long time. However, a few years ago, I saw Karla at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Cedar Rapids. She was still the positive and upbeat Karla that I remembered. May she rest in peace.

I am heartbroken to hear about Karla’s passing. I first met Andy in 7th grade and consider him a friend to this day!! ( a long time) Andy and Karla have been an institution in our friend-group and the world will never be the same without her. Sending tons of love to everyone feeling her loss. 🙏🏻❤️

So sorry to see this. I met Karla when she worked for Travel & Transport and took care of our travels at my job (Iowa Precision back in the day). She definitely was a ray of sunshine! I enjoyed our many chats! My sympathy to all the lives she touched. We can all hope we are remembered like she will be!

My heart skipped a beat when I read this! We worked together as Travel Agents at Universal Travel. The "two Karla's"were always kind-of a joke.."It wasn't this Karla" then we'd both lol. She definitely had a distinct laugh. Andy, so so sorry..Rest in peace Karla 🐈‍⬛❤️

Andy, I am so very sorry to hear that Karla has passed. She had a radiant smile and kindness that warmed everyone around her. Please find comfort in the deep love she had for you and the joyous memories of your life together. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

How sad we were to see of Karla's passing and deepest sympathy to all of you on the death of such a lovely woman. Karla was always so funny and kind to us. May you all have great peace and may she rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy to Andy and the whole family in the passing of Carla. I remember running into her at the McGrath amphitheater several years ago and as always she had a ready smile and we had fun catching up. Her vibrant energy and kind personality will be remembered. My heart goes out to you and I’m sending caring thoughts to you at this sad time of loss.

I grew up admiring Karla for her passion of traveling (and being a Vikings fan in sea of packers fan… Skol) She showed me that just because you’re growing up doesn’t mean you can’t have fun. She was the best bra lady even miles away over face time. She showed me how fun cats were. I never grew up with cats but I vividly remember visiting their newly renovated house and she had a black cat that was obsessed with playing with bottle caps (I’m sorry I forgot the name) and ever since that moment I knew I wanted a cat. Karla was full of laughter and love and I’m grateful I was able to be a Vikings fan alongside her.💜 with much love, Ashley Breu

Karla is very special niece of mine. I have loved her since her birth and always will. I lived with her family and babysat for her the summer of her first birthday and we had so much fun together. As she grew up, I loved seeing her when she lived near Mt Mercy when I went there and I was able to babysit her at her home or have her on campus. As she moved back CR and grew into a teen and then adult, we grew to be good friends and I really enjoyed being with her and then Andy also. He really was her soulmate! They were so much fun to be with and just loved being together. I will miss her always, but so grateful to share even these last months with her. And so grateful she had Andy. I asked her when she told me how sick she was, how Andy was doing and she said, "he is my knight in shining armor!" They went through this together with great love and courage. God bless them and the special family and close friend, Carol, that helped them so much.

I am heartbroken to hear of Karla’s passing. Karla was one of the original "Bra Ladies" and a cherished part of our Essential Bodywear family from the very beginning. She brought energy, laughter, and warmth everywhere she went. Her love for her customers and her EBW sisters was unmatched—and the joy she brought to every trip, event, and conversation will never be forgotten. Karla had a way of making everyone feel seen and supported. She was more than a teammate—she was a friend, a light, and an inspiration. I will miss her dearly. Sending all my love, prayers, and deepest condolences to her family and to everyone who loved her. Rest peacefully, Karla—you made this world brighter. 💕 With love, Carrie Charlick
