I just learned that Alice passed away in October. I loved her dearly, she was a great friend and colleague for many years. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I enjoyed working with Alice at West Music as studio coordinator. Alice was very professional and a very sweet talented lady. She will be missed. My condolences to her family.

Peaceful wishes to Alice's family! I have wonderful memories of Alice when she was the choir director at Cedar Christian Church where I grew up in the 1960s. She also led the youth choir that I was a part of. I remember that we sang Bach's "Sheep May Safely Graze" for the church service one Sunday morning. After 54 years, I still remember that. In 1968, our church youth group went to see "2001: A Space Odyssey" upon its initial release. Alice & Dean hosted an "after" party where we discussed the movie we had just seen. As many others have already testified here, Alice went out of her way to engage with kids. Please accept my sincere sympathy upon the loss of your incredible mother! God Bless Alice Lindsey. -Andy Weaver

Alice was a one of a kind teacher that will always have an imprint in my son Jayln’s life. She was his first piano teacher and was able to spark a passion for piano with him that we’re so thankful for. She was truly a beautiful soul and we’re so blessed to have known her. We’ll miss her so much!

Mrs. Lindsay, was always enthusiastic about music, she showed and shared that enthusiasm with all her students at Van Buren. Always seeing riding her bike to school and after, she just was a great teacher. Teaching was her passion and we are the lucky ones to have those memories. God bless her children as they say their last days about. Know she was loved.

Alice gave me my first school solo "The Rainbow Connection" that I sang with a stuffed Kermit on my shoulder. I took piano from her and during breaks we got to play with her ferrets, and exotic birds. She helped to foster my love of music, and was a great elementary music teacher. Rest in Peace

She was a gentle force for good, bringing kindness and encouragement, while finding talent in generations of students. Like so many other students, I had her as my music teacher at Van Buren, and she was simply so cool. She was groovy, riding her bike to school until an accident along with her classroom filled with music - and her animals! She lived next door to my grandparents, with the two story atrium filled with plants and animals. I saw her a few years ago and we had a lovely conversation with so many memories. I am unable to attend her service, and send my sympathy to her family.

She put in so much work with us students in choir in high school, accompanying our pieces on piano. I remember practicing a lot together one-on-one and in small groups for contests even outside normal class time. I only imagine how many students share fond memories of her doing just that over the years.

Back in the 70's Alice inspired me to do things in music I didn't I could ever do. She was the most caring and loving teacher I ever had. I spent many of my free hours before during and after school learning about music and performing. she was truly and inspiration to me and many other students who needed someone to look up to

Mrs. Lindsay was a wonderful music teacher. I was one of her students at Van Buren many years ago. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

To Alice's loving family, I had the honor of being her student at Harding in music and choir in the 70s and adored her. She was so hip and fun and full of life and made singing so enjoyable and carefree. What a free spirit and the epitome of the 70s wonderful lady! She will truly be missed! Prayers to you all for peace and comfort in the days to come, may your sadness soon be replaced with happy memories 💖

I, too had Mrs. Lindsey, along with Mr. Quiano at Harding for choir. Yes, that was a memorable time and I never forgot her! So sad that she is gone.

To Alice’s daughters and family, my deepest condolences. I loved Mrs. Lindsey! I was one of her students at Harding and loved being in choir as well as the additional group, The Minstrels. It was such a formative time in mine and so many other friend’s lives that I met in her choir. She was the glue for us. Mrs. Lindsey made choir fun but also made us work hard to get a great sound. I attended your father’s visitation all those years ago but will be unable to pay proper respects to your mother. Know that she was loved by so many.

I loved Mrs. Lindsey! She made music fun in grade school and I enjoyed singing with her playing the organ in church choir as a young adult. She was very talented and will be missed.

She was one of the great ones!! Made Van Buren fun. She will be missed.
